The Derby resident said she’s enjoyed the hobby for about five years and last week found a 1784 Connecticut coin on a beach. 'I listen for the pings--sometimes it’s a ‘C,’ or ‘E flat’ and I know what kind of metal I’ve found,' Zuba said."
